A friend, Alex, has started a lovely little site called "Old Takkies Indaba" (for our foreign friends, Takkies are sneakers). It's a great collection of stories from South Africans both local and abroad and will range along a whole gamut of topics by a complete smorgasbord of writers.

The first topic is "Realisation" and deals with when people first realised they were South Africans. Easy to do you'd imagine. Not really.

The site officially launches tomorrow (July 1st) but the first story is up.

So I challenge you - go go go! Read the site!
