Rob's Rambling

Rugby goodness.

I watched Rugby yesterday and (very surprisingly) I enjoyed it. Anyone who actually knows me knows I am certainly not a sports fan. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I'm not a fan of most sport.

But actually watching the game yesterday (RSA vs Lions) was pretty cool. Despite the fact that SA lost, played a horrible game and everyone pretty much acted like kids.

Still, it was fun. I even learned some of the rugby terms I've been missing out on all these years like "hooker" "scrum half" and "bloody ref".

There were some very dodgy calls in that game - from my limited viewpoint you understand. SA really seemed to be getting the rough end of the stick and you could tell the players thought so too - tempers began to fray and people began to act more aggressively than they might otherwise have done.

I suppose it's good that we won the series - it would have been nice to see a complete victory but I think SA can be quite proud of the two wins.
